Pull Day1x12/10/8/6/4 Wide Grip Pullups5x7 Normal Grip Chinups5x10 Bodyweight Rows5x10 Reverse Dumbbell Flys @ 21 lbs3x10 2×5 Dumbbell Curls @ 29 lbs3x10 Dumbbell Rows @ 56 lbs30 minute jog (3 miles or so)

Notes: Decent day. I’ve been slacking in the workout department with the whole blog relaunch thing over the last month or so, so I’m a little disappointed with my progress. That said, I took the mutt out with me on a run because it was GORGEOUS out and we had a great time. I haven’t run in a while, so it feels good =D

4/21/2014(today)90 minute walk, 5.5 miles

Notes: My poor old car died a week ago, so I walked most of the way home from teaching karate class before my wife came and picked me up in her car. It was fun! I stuck to the road some of the way, but the route actually had a parallel trail that ran through the woods, which I took for most of the journey. I haven’t done a night hike in a while, and never solo. It was exhilarating. That said, I’m pretty sure between yesterday and today my legs will not be speaking to me tomorrow.

Oy, legs hate me, and I got home late tonight. No workout. Lazy day I mean…uh…rest day. Yeah. That. My arms need a rest from all that walking.

Notes: You know, some workouts you just feel superhuman, and the reps just keep coming like they’re giving them out for free. This was not one of those workouts. I didn’t sleep well last night, worked all day today, and didn’t even start my workout until 9:10 PM, hahaha. Needless to say this was a tough one to grind out. Made it happen, though. Tomorrow is push day.

Notes: Decent day, though I started late again, which kinda sucked. Upped the weight on my flys by five pounds on each hand, ground out 5×10, but my form really started to suffer by the last set. Noticed some acheyness/stiffness in my right shoulder. I’ve had chronic low levels of pain there for most of my life from an old judo injury, but if it persists/gets worse I’m probably gonna go see a doctor about it. We’ll see how it feels in a week. Wood chopping was a fun start to the day, needed fodder for the fire pit =D

Notes: Had some gnarly food poisoning from something (maybe the wedding), but dammit, I was getting a workout in! Plus I had to film the Sheik videos. So, two birds with one (occasionally bathroom-interrupted) stone. Woohoo!
