Faith’s parkour skills are near superhuman. That said, every single move you do in the game is theoretically possible, although the heights and distances she takes it to are incredibly dangerous (but hey, it’s a video game, right?). We’ve touched on parkour here before, but I figured it was time for a really big, massive, parkour post. Parkour is incredibly hard to attempt to write instructions for, so instead I’ve scoured the internet for good videos of all the basic skills you need.  First, here is a great video on the philosophy of parkour, with some great lines and a good overview of the skills a traceur (someone who practices parkour) needs!

Alright, now that you’ve got something of the mindset, let’s get into it!  I’ve ordered these skills from beginner to advanced, and I’d advise you to really take your time and nail down the basics, specifically rolls, precisions, and landing properly, before you move on to the more advanced maneuvers.

The Roll

The Precision Jump

The Drop Landing and Slap Landing

The Speed Vault

The Lazy Vault

The Arm Jump AKA Cat Grab

The Climb-up AKA Wall Run

The Cat Pass/Diving Catpass AKA Monkey Vault/Kong Vault

That should get you started, although keep in mind that parkour is much more fun if you get involved with other traceurs.  I’d recommend checking out the forums over at American Parkour as well as The Parkour Subreddit and see if there’s any other practitioners in your area (and to get some tips!).  All of these videos are from some solid Youtube channels as well, so if you want to branch out more in the art I recommend you check out their other tutorials!

That’s all for today!  Tomorrow we conclude our time with Faith in The Freedom of Faith! Please don’t forget to like the blog on Facebook, and follow on Twitter and Tumblr.  While you’re at it, if you enjoyed this post, please share/retweet it to your friends!  I’ll see you again tomorrow! Until then, remember to live boldly, change the world, and continue to be awesome.
